Winter at Candlelight Lodge is a magical experience. Candlelight is built in the Tyrolean style and therefore offers accommodation with that wonderful European atmosphere for a traditional alpine skiing holiday. Despite being one of the original guesthouses in the village, refurbishments and extensions over the years have added to the guests’ comfort without sacrificing any of the lodge’s charm. The evenings are always a special time on a ski holiday. After the slopes close enjoy a Sauna, pre-dinner drinks or Backgammon in our bar/lounge area, a la carte or set-menu dining in our restaurant – famous for its iconic dishes. A schnapps in our bar always goes down well after dinner.

Summer Accommodation
Candlelight Lodge is one of the few accommodation houses in Thredbo which is open all year and boasts the best beer garden in the Snowy Mountains. Thredbo’s popularity as a Summer destination has been increasing at an incredible rate thanks to the huge range of hiking (Thredbo is the best set-off point for you to conquer Kosciuszko!) and mountain-biking trails (for ALL levels of skill) as well as the variety of great food available throughout the village, the pure mountain air and the stunning scenery. The beauty of the Australian High Country in summer is no longer such a well-kept secret.
